Photographing these two was so fun that it instantly put more excitement towards photographing their wedding day. This session was all smiles and a little bit of playing around with the drift wood….but waking up to sunrise with these two was definitely not a bad way to start your morning. Enjoy their joyful sunrise session below….
Baby Forrest. Just the sweetest and most cooperative little man I have ever worked with. Most likely because he has some super cool parents. I photographed Lauren & Bryce’s Wedding earlier this year and was very excited when they asked about a newborn session for their first born. Check out Baby Forrest first trip to the park and probably first time in a basket 🙂 Enjoy!
I love a couple that likes to take an adventure. Especially when I get to photograph them while zooming down the St.Johns to a Private Island. I had such a great time with my good friends Marty and Jess. They are a super sweet and fun couple that loves going out on the water on their boat (named Double D’s), so we decided to incorporate that in the shoot. We couldn’t have done it without our trusty Captain, Mo Vaughan behind the helm on the boat I was photographing from. Check out their sunset engagement session below…
Enjoy!

Jessica is a really talented artist. Here she is trying to write the date in the sand 🙂
Just the sweetest Casa Marina Wedding I ever did Photograph. This summer day was cooler than most here in Florida. And the powder blue sunset along with the purple tones from the details of their day were such a beautiful compliment to this serene and perfect wedding day.
There are several thing about weddings I love. Everyone is always dressed in their best, in great moods, their are always fresh flowers and delicious cake. Tons of dancing and maybe some drinking. It’s wonderful. Who wouldn’t love all of these things? What I loved the most from this wedding was not any of the above things. But the love between Marla and Mike. Incredibly moving how so in love these two are. Mike kept his eyes on one thing, one person all night no matter what. Marla. He even extended his vows and gave a speech at their reception to let her know one more time how happy and lucky he is to have her in his life. It was honestly so beautiful. Check out their wonderful love below.
The wedding with beautiful people and beautiful details. This was such a gorgeous wedding to photograph not only because every little detail was perfectly executed; but everyone was so sweet and beautiful inside and out. It’s nice when you don’t have to “pose” people. Especially when they are already having a great time, smiling, and looking gorgeous. 🙂
Thank you Michele & Caleb for inviting me to photograph such a loving wedding. There were so many beautiful and emotional moments from this day. So happy to be there to capture them.
My assistant and I reference this wedding as “The Ones that know how to Celebrate”. Seriously. It was the best party I’ve been to while working. And on top of everyone knowing how to have a good time, they were all so respectful and loving to all of the vendors. I think I received about 20 hugs from random people that were telling me thank you and can I get you a drink? It was a great environment to work in. And an even more beautiful one to grow your love in. Lindsay & James have such a wonderful support system of stability and genuine love around them.
Best Moments from the Day? 1. Their Adorable “First Touch” behind a curtain. 2. The entire Bridal Party Funneling a Beer Bong…and then I told them I didn’t get the shot and they had to do it again (lies!) 3. One of her bridesmaids catching the bouquet and getting engaged 8 hours later. 4. People Tunnel Exit…First Time, and you guys nailed it!
I think that one of the most rewarding intangible things in our lives is the random amazing connections we make with complete strangers. And what is more amazing than that is when you become friends with these strangers. My stranger is Tanner Deprin. A man of little words, unless you get a few drinks in him. He was almost on his way to becoming a pro surfer, although he would never brag about it. He also would never admit how great of a photographer he is. He is very humble and very funny when you get to know him. He is always 5 minutes early and is always thinking of a new idea on where and how to shoot differently. He is not only my right hand man in business, but he has become a good friend. And today is our 2 year workaversary.
I felt like doing something special for this day. Especially because we have accomplished some amazing thing in the past two years. Things that I never would have thought could have happened that day I met him. He has put up with some craziness when working with me. Over 40 weddings, I don’t even know how many photo booths. Working 11 weekends in a row. Transporting myself and married couples in my little Jeep. Holding my light. Blinding him momentarily during a light test. Drunk people in photo booths. So many drunk people in photo booths. Camera malfunctions, printer malfunctions, car malfunctions. Countless phone calls, texts, emails, tweets (I don’t event have twitter!) about god knows what. And every time, every time. He’s there. With a smile. And some new, awesome idea that will further my company. And then he goes and gets these close up, intimate moments at weddings that I see when I am selecting photographs later. I tell him sometimes I have nightmares that he will leave. Because there is no one else like him. He is the first “employee” I ever had. He is an inspiration, and he anticipates everything right as I think of it, and he truly seems to care. He’s a great guy and I am happy he walked into my life and the lives of all my clients.
I am happy to call you my second, my assistant, my right hand man. But you are really a friend and a great photographer. I just can’t tell clients they are getting a wedding photographer and a friend for their wedding day. But we both know. Happy workaversary. Hope there are many more Tan Man.

Pretty excited that in less than 3 weeks we will be photographing weddings and landscapes in Ireland and Scotland. Another great moment to add to the collection. Yhew!
