Photographing these two was so fun that it instantly put more excitement towards photographing their wedding day. This session was all smiles and a little bit of playing around with the drift wood….but waking up to sunrise with these two was definitely not a bad way to start your morning. Jenny + Brad must have heard me say “It is just so perfect out” about 1,000 times during their engagement session. Between having the Gardens at sunset to ourselves and catching the goldenest of golden hours. And then ending it with the dramatic rocky beach at sunset with even more seclusion to ourselves… It was a match made in heaven, just like the two of them (you see what I did there?). Beyond the overwhelming kindness of Rahma & Arsi’s Family, I was showered with rich colors, smiling faces, tons of dancing, and a wonderful little first look at Treaty Oak Park. Someone even got engaged right next to us as we did the first look! This two day affair was a lovely cultural experience that I absolutely loved photographing. Congratulations to a beautiful couple!

This incredibly windy but incredibly loving day was one of my favorite sunsets at Casa Marina Hotel. Kelsey & Blake picked a beautiful November day to get married beach side in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Just the most perfect of Saturday Mornings. Felt just like a fairy tale as I walked up to the cute St.Augustine Bungalow she and her bridesmaids were sipping champagne and getting ready at. Blue skies, birds chirping, and a lovely group of people to spend the day with.

2015. It may be in month 2 of 2016, but you still haunt me. If you own your own business you know the year doesn’t really end on December 31st. There are mountains of things to do in order to close out the year and it always seeps into the months following the champagne filled New Years Eve party you went to. In comes my blog post…my end of 2015 is officially here with the closing of my books and editing my last session which happened to be on the last day of the year. I put together a collage last year and photo timeline and people seemed to have a good laugh so I decided to give it another go around.
2015 was filled with 36 weddings, 55 photo booths and 50 portraits sessions all taking place in Florida, Colorado, Washington, Virginia, Ireland, and Scotland. We hit our 5th year in business and 160th wedding. And to be honest we had one of the best years since we started in 2010. Although…2016 is already proven to be a heavy contestant for “Best Year”, but I will leave that to next years post. For now, check out my photo captioned year below.

The Goldenest of Golden Hour Engagements was my first time at Castaway Island Preserve in Jacksonville, Florida. With cowboy boots on we explored the beautiful woods of Castaway Island on one of the most beautiful days here in Florida. Enjoy my last engagement session of 2015!

I love a couple that likes to take an adventure. Especially when I get to photograph them while zooming down the St.Johns to a Private Island. I had such a great time with my good friends Marty and Jess. They are a super sweet and fun couple that loves going out on the water on their boat (named Double D’s), so we decided to incorporate that in the shoot. We couldn’t have done it without our trusty Captain, Mo Vaughan behind the helm on the boat I was photographing from. Check out their sunset engagement session below…
