Let me start by saying, these two are a kick ass couple! They’ve lived in my two favorite places, Hawaii and Colorado. Courtney is a gorgeous read head. They have an adorable dog, in which they put a giant bow tie on. And to top it off, they hiked around on their wedding day even though Courtney was sportin’ a broken foot and a baby bump. It was just one of those days where I felt like I was hanging out with my friends all day. Even though we had just met. 🙂
The wildflowers were going off for their beautiful summer wedding at the Mountain Wedding Garden in CB. With a flower crown on and their pup in the back seat, we ventured around Gothic for some sweet portraits. It was a perfectly beautiful day! They have since moved back to Hawaii and are expecting their baby soon! They are going to be some seriously adventurous, fun loving parents. Congrats you two!

Hearing Alyssa and Drew’s story as high school sweethearts reminds me of a real life version of a romantic movie from the 1990’s. It’s adorable and sweet and their bold and beautiful wedding day did everything to compliment it.
The rustic lodge they were married in was decorated with richly colored glasses and greenery. Medieval candelabras and wooden accents were scattered to create a warm and inviting feel. Their heartfelt speeches filled the cozy room as some people warned next to the brick fireplace huddled together.
On top of the gorgeous details, nothing makes me smile more than a wedding with doggie guests. Alyssa and Drew started their day with a first look at a frozen lake with their pup. The three of them came together as a family and were married in front of a backdrop of snow capped mountains. The night ended with a golden sunset walk through the woods. It was such a gorgeous day. I met Anna and Joe Camping. Which is a great start to any story because we all love camping. Anna was actually sitting in a hammock with a colorful shirt, beautiful blonde hair and such an inviting smile. Then I met Joe, who has an even bigger smile and a wonderfully happy personality. They were not engaged at the time, but they were one of those couples where everyone was just waiting for it to happen. And I wish there is something I could say to convey the love Joe and Anna have. I’ve tried to put some words together but I am struggling to really say how I can tell there going to make it. So I’ll say this… Everyone, literally everyone I talked to about Joe and Anna, knew that they were the purest definition of meant to be. I’ve never seen a couple compliment each other so beautifully and so lovingly. And beyond the great relationship, they are just darn right FUN dancing machines. There is never a dull moment around them. I actually stayed an hour longer and didn’t realize it because I too was having fun and maybe dancing while photographing (It’s a total pro move:)). From Anna the Bride:
“Joe and I love being outdoors and do a lot of camping so naturally the ceremony was outside on the St. Johns River. Joe grew up on the St. Johns River in Jacksonville, the venue was a perfect fit. Our flower dog was our fluffy husky. He is our fur baby and anyone who knows us also knows Ryder. He totally stole the show!

When I found my dress I loved the vintage feel of the lace. It was a sweet surprise that the lace on my mom’s veil had the same lace…so I surprised her by wearing the veil on my wedding day. It was a sweet surprise.

Joe and I also love music so our DJ was crucial. He was a friend of ours that we have seen on several occasions. He knew exactly our style and knew how to mix fun songs together to get EVERYONE on the dance floor. I think at one point we had three dance parties going on at the same time in various areas of the venue. We love music so much we made a “mix cd” for our wedding favors so our guests could rock out with us for years to come.”

My favorite season is Colorado is in September when fall is slowly changing to winter. The aspens are super yellow and lively and the mountain tops are covered in snow. It’s the perfect contrast of light and dark and is a gorgeous time of year.
So you can only imagine my eyes when I pulled up for Krissi and Bens gorgeous wedding at Upper Schmid Ranch. It’s the perfect vibe of rustic beautiful woods and absolutely stunning Mountain View’s. And Krissi and Ben knew how to make it even that much better. A mobile bar, karaoke, multiple doggie guest, Polaroid photo booth, and a cupcake station.
It was certainly a day to remember and a wedding I absolutely loved being apart of.

Two thirds of Jenny and Weston’s relationship has been long distance. Jenny had an amazing opportunity to help others in need in Indonesia and moved there shortly after they started dating. And after many phone calls, face times, a 13 hour time difference, thousands of miles of distance and 14 months of being away from each other, they reunited at the Denver airport and spent 5 days in the Rocky Mountains together. On the Fifth day, Weston Proposed. It’s only fitting that their storybook love story was greeted by a storybook sunset on a secluded beach on their wedding day.
They were surrounded by friends and family on a windy day at the beach. As the sunset they said I do and shared a beautiful first kiss amongst their tearful guests. Following their ceremony we had an amazing sunset on a secluded beach where we frolicked around in the sand and salt.
Entering their reception under twinkle lights and ending it with a choreographed dance through sparklers was a wonderful start and end to the day. An absolutely beautiful place for two incredibly beautiful people. This wedding will always have an important place in my heart because it is the first wedding I photographed after moving to Colorado full time. And I feel so lucky to have spent it with Braeden and Ryan.
You would think a wedding on a Monday would be pretty mellow, not with this crowd! On a sunny summer day in CB Braeden and Ryan got ready on the river with close friends. We had a mini exploration of Almont where we joked around and broke out in small dance moves :). They were married in a painting, with their sweet dogs by their side and an emotional family watching, they said I do with a backdrop of snow capped mountains and bright green summer foliage all around. After their tearful and beautiful vows we frolicked in the valley for a few photos and entered their reception in full dance with the bridal party. The laughter and happy tears made for such an emotionally gorgeous wedding.

Madalyn and Neal could have gotten married in jeans in an empty field with just their friends and family surrounding them and the day would have been just as gorgeous as it really was. I say that, because in the short time I have had the honor of getting to know Madalyn and Neal, I have realized they are the ones that light up the room, are the life of the party and make you feel special even if they don’t know you. We felt like family all day and we even each got a hug from 6 different people immediately when we walked in the door as they said “We are so happy you are here!”
They, along with everyone at their wedding, were an absolute joy to work with. I was even a little giddy editing the photos because I had such a great time! Anyways, check out one of the coolest couples I have had the absolutely wonderful pleasure of photographing below!

This was my last summer shoot in Florida before I began my journey out west for my summer shoots. It turned out to be an absolutely gorgeous sunset at Hannah Park. Molly and Jerry were super excited and giddy which made for a super upbeat and fun shoot. They get married in the adorable red barn in Tennessee in a month and I can’t wait to photograph their adorableness (Is that a word?) on their wedding day.

Kayla and Cory have that infectious, happy, beautiful kind of love. And their smiles show it. They were such a fun couple to photograph. We would have these beautiful moments with golden sunlight and then they would start making goofy faces and joking around with each other. I love how easy it was to tell how great of friends and perfect they are together.
We had an eventful day that included some of Cory’s homemade beer, home cooked food from Kayla’s family, songs sang at the reception by friends, an incredibly colorful sunset and an even more dramatic evening filled with lots of Kayla’s dad dancing and getting the party started. It was wonderful to spend the day with such loving and absolutely fun people. Check out all of their wedding below.

Marty and Jessica are two of the sweetest, most genuine people you could ever meet. They are both super talented, crafty, funny, incredibly caring and not to mention…really gorgeous together. Once they found each other, everyone agreed, they are perfect together. I was excited to have the chance to photograph their beautiful wedding this spring and we had quite a lot of fun on this sunny Florida day.
Beyond the grand exit on their boat at midnight, they had hilarious toasts, an award winning sunset, champagne and rum punches, sparkler exit, and Jessica’s dad even gave her a high five right after he gave her away.
