An absolutely beautiful place for two incredibly beautiful people. This wedding will always have an important place in my heart because it is the first wedding I photographed after moving to Colorado full time. And I feel so lucky to have spent it with Braeden and Ryan.
You would think a wedding on a Monday would be pretty mellow, not with this crowd! On a sunny summer day in CB Braeden and Ryan got ready on the river with close friends. We had a mini exploration of Almont where we joked around and broke out in small dance moves :). They were married in a painting, with their sweet dogs by their side and an emotional family watching, they said I do with a backdrop of snow capped mountains and bright green summer foliage all around. After their tearful and beautiful vows we frolicked in the valley for a few photos and entered their reception in full dance with the bridal party. The laughter and happy tears made for such an emotionally gorgeous wedding.

Madalyn and Neal could have gotten married in jeans in an empty field with just their friends and family surrounding them and the day would have been just as gorgeous as it really was. I say that, because in the short time I have had the honor of getting to know Madalyn and Neal, I have realized they are the ones that light up the room, are the life of the party and make you feel special even if they don’t know you. We felt like family all day and we even each got a hug from 6 different people immediately when we walked in the door as they said “We are so happy you are here!”
They, along with everyone at their wedding, were an absolute joy to work with. I was even a little giddy editing the photos because I had such a great time! Anyways, check out one of the coolest couples I have had the absolutely wonderful pleasure of photographing below!

An Australian Wedding in Napa Valley California with the liveliest group of 7 people I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy a leap day with. A gorgeous destination wedding timed perfectly with the mustard seeds blooming to give us this beautiful yellow color right at sunset. They took a few sips of wine during their vows, said I do, and then the entire wedding (of 7 people) hoped in my giant suv and took an adventure around the Napa Valley vineyards. Golden Sunsets, Historical Details, Purple Hues, Smiles, Real Moments, Lip Singing Battle, Dance Offs, oh…and a wedding ceremony 🙂 Stephanie and Mark’s Historic St.Augustine Wedding was a roller coaster of emotion. Form an emotional first look, to goofy bridal party photos, to the sweetest mother son dance, ending with the entire wedding on stage lip singing to 80’s songs. Beyond the overwhelming kindness of Rahma & Arsi’s Family, I was showered with rich colors, smiling faces, tons of dancing, and a wonderful little first look at Treaty Oak Park. Someone even got engaged right next to us as we did the first look! This two day affair was a lovely cultural experience that I absolutely loved photographing. Congratulations to a beautiful couple!

This incredibly windy but incredibly loving day was one of my favorite sunsets at Casa Marina Hotel. Kelsey & Blake picked a beautiful November day to get married beach side in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. This shoot easily makes my top three favorite shoots from 2015. This Colorful fall wedding reception was put together by some of the best vendors in the west elk mountains. We decided to incorporate vibrant pops of color to enhance the wooded scene we photographed in. We created a natural wood table with accents of vintage silverware and plates from the antique shops in Gunnison Valley. The bouquet and dress were adorned with hand dyed velvet and flowers from Paonia, a gorgeous town 1 hour from Crested Butte. Our cake was hand painted and designed to add a bit of glam to this Bohemian shoot. Wooden pieces were also hand burned and painted to accentuate the natural look of this stunning scene. With just a dash of snow the night before, and a secluded river only footsteps away, we could not have asked for a better fairytale setting than this. Take a look yourself….Enjoy!

There are several thing about weddings I love. Everyone is always dressed in their best, in great moods, their are always fresh flowers and delicious cake. Tons of dancing and maybe some drinking. It’s wonderful. Who wouldn’t love all of these things? What I loved the most from this wedding was not any of the above things. But the love between Marla and Mike. Incredibly moving how so in love these two are. Mike kept his eyes on one thing, one person all night no matter what. Marla. He even extended his vows and gave a speech at their reception to let her know one more time how happy and lucky he is to have her in his life. It was honestly so beautiful. The wedding with beautiful people and beautiful details. This was such a gorgeous wedding to photograph not only because every little detail was perfectly executed; but everyone was so sweet and beautiful inside and out. It’s nice when you don’t have to “pose” people. Especially when they are already having a great time, smiling, and looking gorgeous. 🙂

These two. I wish I could say something that explains how absolutely wonderful Natalie and Nick are. From the first time I met Natalie she was all smiles. She could light up a room with her laugh and her beautiful personality. And Nick, he adores her. You could never talk to them and by looking at the two of them together, you know. You know how perfect and how in love they are. I am so grateful they found me and invited Tanner and I to their fun filled and incredibly warm and inviting wedding.
